ANDRE BERNARD PEER

A Scholarship honoring an outstanding farmer, founder, and friend.

Andre was known to be a perfectionist, always striving for excellence in all aspects of his life. He remained determined and motivated, undertaking any task set before him with greatness in mind. Andre's perseverance and love for farming resulted in his 2013 Farm Family of the Year Award for Phillips County, Arkansas. His legacy will always be remembered as a work of honor.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to apply, an applicant must be a senior student currently enrolled in an Arkansas high school with a cumulative GPA between 2.60 and 4.0 on a 4.0 scale computed at the end of the junior year in high school and the student must have shown a growing interest in college preparatory studies and have been active within the school community. Proof of eligibility under these criteria will be required if selected for scholarship. Application will be rated on appearance, verification of information and clarity.

SELECTION OF A COLLEGE
The student should plan to attend any accredited college or university.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The selected applicant(s) will be awarded a $500 scholarship. Awards are payable at the beginning of the school term.  The award may be used to cover the cost of tuition, fees, books and room-and-board.  The intention of the scholarship is to provide opportunities for higher education for students who are interested in achieving a place of leadership in their chosen fields.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
The Board Director of the KKAC Foundation is to be informed of the recipient’s academic performance at the end of the second semester of their freshmen year.  This is to be done in writing by the recipient.  The recipient will also inform the president of any changes in college plans or permanent address or whether if the recipient drops out of college for any reason.
